ReplyDelete2. It means that there are specific traits that make a person unique. The traits you have might differ from another, but its alright because you are special.
3. I can apply this to my life because I feel like the things that make me unique, does not really make me unique at all. This quote reminds me that I am a person with special abilities, with a strong moral, and I am intelligent. I also have to see others as unique. Just because they are not like me, that doesn't mean that they are less than me. It just means that they are special in another way.
When I was young, I saw that my little struggled at school. I thought that she wasn't smart as I was, and that she wasn't skilled at all. As I grew older, I saw the things that made her unique. My little sister is very honest, kind, and a hard worker. She turned her grades from 2s to 3s and 4s. I also recognized that her memory skills were better than mine, and I felt happy to see that my sister had something that I didn't have.

~~It matters because no one is the same. We are all very diffrent from one another in many wasy like looks, intelligance, and personality. Even identical twins are diffrent they may look the same but are two completely diffrent people. It also is a contradiction the fact that one person is diffrent from another like everyone else is.
~~You can apply this to life because life is a competition. Even if we don't realize it, it is still a race, and everyone is bringing something diffrent to the table. Since everyone is diffrent we have to show people that we are special that we stand out because of our diffrences. We all have to compete with other people for everything, jobs, sports, and even college.

It is important to know that everyone is considered special. We are all special in what we do and what we have done. This applies to my life because I tend to stand out from most boys. This would have to be one of my assets. I believe that my eyes are what make me stand out from the crowd. It is important to find the thing that defines you. Standing out in a group where everyone is different is tough, but it is beneficial. Unique is a word to describe differences as a positive quality. Mead is reminding us that we all have good qualities, so it is important to go beyond those qualities.
In order to apply this to life, you have to start by searching for something that defines you. We have elements that characterize our characteristics and it is important that we define even the things that define us. To obtain something beyond uniqueness. Mead says "just like everyone else" in order to emphasize that naturally.. we are all different. That's a given. So we have to look for things that give us our own title and brand.

If you were raised listening to one type of music, you can't just assume that everyone likes and listens to the same thing. You have to understand that everyone is different. You are your own person and should take pride in the fact that there is no other just like you. And just like you are like no other, no one else is the same either. We don't have to feel the need to belong and fit in because there will be people who aren't like you; it's a guarantee. But that's nothing to be ashamed of. In fact, we should all be proud that we are all our own person.

I can apply this in my life because i need to remember that im not the person next to me i am better in my own way. On my team i may not be the fastest but i am the one with quicker reactions. I use those reactions to my advantage when i am against a team member that is fast than me. This plan works for me we i am in defense. this works because most of my team member are faster than me so i can chase them with out getting left in the dust; so i use my reaction time which is fast than most i am able to beat them when we go one on one.

In my life, i know i'm not similar to anybody else, but i'm me, myself, one unique person. Throughout my course of study, i have my own method of learning and memorizing. I think the only time when someone has to compete against one another to stand out and show that they are different than everyone else is when it comes time to fill out college applications. The Admissions Board don't want to hear the same story over and over again. It gets monotonous. That's the only time when we have to be arrogant and fight for our spot to get a chance to be admittied into the college of our choice. We also might have to do this when we fill out applications for jobs or go tot job interviews. Bosses want someone with a unique mind and fresh ideas. Life isn't a competition to set make oursleves the best. That's the thing that people don't understand.

This matters to me because now I know that other persons aspirations and goals are very different from mine. My failures might be another persons goals. I may cherish something but another person might think of it as trash. We all have different goals and feelings about life so we need to choose our own path. If everyone in this world were the same it would be pretty boring.
This applies to my life because it will help me understand that no one can choose my destination because we are all different. We all have different mentality of what success is. I should not determine my future success on my family and friends.They cannot determine what would make me happy because we are all different.The only one that will benefit from my actions is myself so is important that I choose my own path in life, my own idea of success.

I can apply this in my own life well just today my teacher talked about my personal statement. I wrote how skateboarding has inspired me to be an engineer and excel. She mentioned that how my essay would stand out do to my perspective and the way I wrote it. Everyone has their unique story. They all are different, but in some cases you may seem like someone else. Another way I find myself unique by the way I express myself by skating, writing, and through music. I tend to see myself as the same as another person. In reality you are differnt ways some large some small. You are unique you just don't express it and aren't well know.

3.It matters because this world has many different people and they all are unique. GOD makes us and surely gives us something to make us unique to others, because every of us has their parts and their duties that runs this world. Sometimes you may feel tired and want to give up, but" don't". As I said, GOD has given special gifts for everyone to make us special. So our job is to figure out what did he gave us and use it well. Don't think about what you can't do, think about what you haven't tried to do.
I often try so hard to do everything because I think that if i try, I can do everything. However, there were many times that I failed and in those moments, I wondered why I can't do it? Now I realized that maybe I can do more than others a little bit, but i can't do everything because I know that GOD has given each of us somthing to to our job in this world, and those gifts make them special.
